Mobile Switching Center (MSC)

MSC is the short for The Mobile Switching Center . MSC performs the telephony switching functions for the mobile communication system. It also controls the calls to and from other telephony and data systems.The other telephony systems, for example , are:  Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN). The Mobil stations are connected with the Base Stations , Base Stations are connected to MSC and MSCs are manged by VLR. VLR is shrot for visitor location register. VLR , actually is a database which contains the information of the subscribers. A subscriber is a a user which pays for communication.
